CARRIER OILS:
Camellia Seed Oil – Organic unrefined camellia seed oil is a lightweight, non-greasy, and silky oil with a golden yellow hue. It is valued among skin and hair care enthusiasts for being very emollient and hydrating—attributes that it owes to its high concentration of oleic fatty acids, squalene, and tocopherols (vitamin E); these attributes also make camellia seed oil very ideal for dry and mature skin types that need moisture and elasticity. As far as other skin benefits are concerned, the vitamin E content of camellia seed oil encourages new skin cell growth (cellular regeneration) which equates to fewer dark spots and marks and a more refined, bright, and even-toned skin. Camellia seed oil is also rich in antioxidant vitamins A and B that prevent and reduce wrinkles, fine lines, and the appearance of pores. Lastly, camellia seed oil is an incredible source of plant collagen which encourages the skin’s own production of collagen and, in so doing, helps to firm/tighten the skin and pores.
Apricot Kernel Oil – Organic unrefined apricot kernel oil is a mild, fast-absorbent, and nourishing oil that is a beautiful pale yellow to yellow in color. It is very rich in vitamins A, C, and E and oleic, linoleic, alpha-Linoleic, and palmitic acids. Its vitamin A content makes it suitable for use in anti-aging skincare formulations to reduce puffiness, sagging, wrinkles, fine lines, and the appearance of pores. On the other hand, the vitamins C and E in apricot kernel oil work in concert to reveal a brighter, more even-toned skin, with vitamin C helping to gently slough away dead skin cells and vitamin E helping to encourage new skin cell growth (cellular regeneration) as well as prevent future dark marks through its protective barrier against UV and free radicals. Importantly also, apricot kernel oil’s vitamin E and fatty acid contents make it a very emollient oil and perfect for deeply hydrating skin and hair and keeping them soft and supple.
